Citrine is the yellow-to-orange variety of quartz, named for its warm citrus hue. The stone reads warmer than topaz and softer than amber, occupying a particular space in the spectrum of natural gemstones.

This pendant uses a natural citrine in pear cut, approximately 6 × 4 mm, set in 18K yellow gold. The stone's warm tone harmonizes with the gold setting; the two materials read as continuous rather than contrasting.
