Heart Filigree with Our Lady Pendant in 18K Gold

Filigree — drawn-out gold wire shaped into open patterns — combines well with the heart silhouette. The technique creates a heart whose interior is visible through the structure, and a frame within which other forms can be set without competing with the gold.

This pendant uses filigree-style heart construction in 18K yellow gold, with Our Lady rendered in high relief at the center. The Marian mantle is set with micro blue zirconia stones, the color reading against the openwork gold structure.

At 1.7 grams, the pendant has the substance of a piece designed to be worn close, the openwork keeping the form visually light despite the layered composition.
